Overview
This course is aimed at all personnel responsible for the technical management and development of corporate networks. The course was designed to assist many of our clients who experience problems with their network management systems. These problems are often generic, in that they are not due to the limitations or idiosyncrasies of the software itself but to the way in which it has been installed, configured and used. This course will help delegates overcome such issues.

The course provides the knowledge that will assist network managers and network support staff to successfully deploy any SNMP based network management system. The course covers the main enabling technologies (SNMP, RMON, MIBs,) and uses generic examples of the available toolsets. It will aid delegates in setting up schemes for the effective monitoring and management of multiprotocol networks.

It is a recommended pre-requisite to vendor specific NMS courses.
